Founded by automotive industry veterans who recognized a critical gap in the digital marketing landscape.
Ignition Digital was born from a simple observation: most digital marketing agencies treat automotive dealerships like any other business, applying generic strategies that fail to address the unique challenges and opportunities of the industry.
Our founders, with over 30 years of combined experience in automotive retail and digital marketing, set out to create an agency that truly understands the dealership ecosystem. We've walked in your shoes, managed inventory, negotiated with OEMs, and felt the pressure of monthly sales targets.
Since our founding in 2018, we've grown from a three-person startup to an award-winning agency with a singular focus: helping select automotive dealerships outperform their competition and dominate their local markets through cutting-edge digital strategies.

David Barrow - Founder & CEO
Real estate agent turned dealership owner, Dave founded Ignition Digital in 2017 after realizing most agencies didn’t get how car sales really worked. Drawing on his deep automotive experience, he built an in-house team that quickly grew his dealer group. In 2025, Ignition officially launched as a standalone agency.
Today, Dave blends real-world sales insight with sharp marketing strategy to help dealerships grow with tactics that actually work in the showroom.
Outside the office, you’ll find him skiing, trail running, tackling CrossFit workouts—or jumping out of helicopters for fun.
Taylor Thain - Marketing Director
Taylor joined Ignition Digital in 2017 and played a key role in scaling the agency’s early success. With a background in performance marketing and digital analytics, he came from the agency world and quickly built the strategic frameworks that still guide how Ignition delivers results today.
With over a decade in digital marketing, Taylor specializes in full-funnel strategy, campaign performance, analytics implementation, and web development—connecting the dots between data, creative, and ROI.
Outside of work, he’s a circus artist, fire performer, and motorcycle enthusiast (yes, seriously).
